An honest, faith-filled story about what happens when a woman accustomed to leading, building, serving, and showing up suddenly has to learn how to heal, receive help, redefine strength, and lead differently.
This is more than a story about surviving breast cancer.
It is a story about becoming.

Maybe you know what it feels like when life interrupts the woman you thought you were.
You were handling things. Leading, taking care of others, building the vision, and making decisions. Then something happened that you could not plan for.
For me, it was breast cancer.
Suddenly, the woman who was accustomed to leading from a place of strength had to learn how to lead while healing. I had to receive help when I was used to giving it, release control when I wanted answers, and trust God in a season that looked nothing like the life I had planned.
But somewhere between diagnosis, treatment, hospitalization, tears, recovery and a whole lot of surrender, I began to understand something:
I wasn't being called back to the woman I was before cancer. I was becoming someone new.

This isn't simply a book about breast cancer.
Breast cancer is the fire I walked through. However, CEO in Pink™ is about what the fire revealed. It's about faith when you don't know what happens next. Leadership, when you can no longer carry everything yourself. Your identity when the titles and accomplishments that once defined you suddenly aren't enough.
It's about having the courage to ask for help, having the wisdom to build business differently, the grace to honor your body, the freedom to redefine what success means to you.

There are parts of this book that I wrote especially with you in my heart.
The woman newly diagnosed.
The woman sitting in a treatment chair.
The woman who finished treatment but doesn't quite feel "finished."
The woman navigating fatigue, scars, fear, scan anxiety, changes in her body, and the complicated emotions of survivorship.
I won't tell you to simply "stay strong" or pretend that every difficult day needs an inspirational ending.
I will simply remind you that you are still here.
You are worthy of love and understanding, allowed to rest and still dream big.
You are becoming who God purposed you to be, and remember you do not have to navigate this chapter alone.

I used to think that my strength was demonstrated by how much I could carry.
Breast Cancer taught me differently.
Some of the greatest strength I discovered came when I stopped performing and acting as though I was superwoman and allowed myself to simply be human. I allowed myself to rest, receive things from others, cry when necessary and ask for help when needed.
I trusted God when I couldn't see what He was doing.
Wherever life finds you today, I hope CEO in Pink™ reminds you that an unexpected chapter does not have the authority to write the ending.
